Winter vacation in the Dolomites
Snow, sun and a dreamlike view on the Alpe di Siusi
When the South Tyrolean mountains glisten in the white winter dress, it’s time to unpack the winter jacket and stomp out into the fresh air. Around Fiè allo Sciliar or on the nearby Alpe di Siusi there are numerous opportunities to pursue your favourite winter hobby.
Skiing in the ski area Alpe di Siusi/Gröden, the largest ski area in the Dolomites
You can reach the cable car Seis – Seiser Alm comfortably by car in about 10 minutes. Once there, your winter fun already begins when you board the cable car and the magnificent view of the mountains begins. With 175 kilometers of slopes and 80 cable cars or ski lifts, the ski area Alpe di Siusi/Val Gardena is the largest ski area in the Dolomites. For experienced skiers, the Saslong or the Sellaronda around the Sella massif is an absolute must. At the same time you can indulge yourself to your heart’s content in the 50 ski huts.
One of the most family-friendly ski resorts in the Alps
The Alpe di Siusi is especially known as a family skiing area. Numerous sunny days, wide slopes in all degrees of difficulty and top lifts contribute to the fact that your children will feel very comfortable. If you would like to wobble down the slopes without your children for a while or make a leisurely stop for a break, you are also welcome to accommodate the children for a few hours in the ski kindergarten of the Alpe di Siusi Ski Schools. The ski schools on the Alpe di Siusi also offer special ski courses for children with final races and awards.
Snowpark King Laurin – snowboarding to your heart’s content
The Snowpark King Laurin is one of the largest snowparks in Europe and offers a lot of variety with about 70 obstacles on a length of about 1.5 km for every snowboarder.
